Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe

Delicious, soft and chewy pizza crust that cooks perfectly every time and is so easy to make. Make your favorite pizza with just a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients

500g “00” flour ot white bread flour

1 tsp sea salt

1 x 7g sachet dried yeast

1 tsp raw castor sugar

1.5 cups warm water

2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Add warm water to a jar, add the yeast, oil and sugar, stir to combine. Let it sit for 3-4 minutes to activate the yeast
Mix the flour and salt together in a large bowl
Make a well in the centre, and pour in the liquid. Stir until the dough comes together, turn out onto a work surface and knead for a couple of minutes until the dough becomes smooth
Dust the bowl with flour and add the dough back in, cover with a damp cloth and let it sit in a warm place for about 1 hour, until the dough has doubled in size
Tip the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and ‘knock back’ the dough by kneading it to push the air out
Divide the dough into 4 even pieces. Use immediately, rolling into pizza bases or refrigerate / freeze for later use.
